Teaching and Research Section of Nursing Humanities

Established in 2010, the Teaching and Research Section of Nursing Humanities currently has 4 full-time teachers, all of whom hold a master's degree in nursing and the title of lecturer. This young faculty team is full of work enthusiasm and also possesses rich teaching experience. Among them, 1 teacher has overseas study experience, and 1 teacher has won the second prize in the university-level micro-course teaching competition, the third prize in the provincial-level teaching competition, the second prize in the young teachers' lecture competition of the Medical Department, the third prize in the university-level young teachers' lecture competition, and the Excellence Award in the First National Young Teachers' Basic Teaching Skills Competition in Nursing.
The faculty team of the section has presided over and participated in many provincial and departmental-level research projects, published several academic papers every year, participated in compiling multiple 12th Five-Year Plan textbooks of People's Medical Publishing House, and completed the guidance work for dozens of undergraduate nursing graduates' graduation theses every year.
The section is mainly responsible for the teaching and research of 8 courses, including Nursing Management, Nursing Education, Nursing Psychology, Nursing Ethics, Nursing Aesthetics, Interpersonal Communication and Nursing, Nursing Professional Literacy and Career Planning, and Multiculturalism and Nursing, among which 7 are university-level "Excellent Demonstration Online Courses".
In addition to actively carrying out theoretical teaching reform, aiming at the characteristics of humanities courses, the faculty team has actively explored and adopted a diversified teaching model that combines theory with practical teaching, increases the proportion of practical teaching, and enriches the content and forms of practical teaching to improve teaching effectiveness. For example, bilingual situational teaching and role-playing in the course Interpersonal Communication and Nursing; practical training on nurses' code of conduct, makeup skills for nurses' professional light makeup, and flower arrangement for decorating nursing environment beauty in Nursing Aesthetics; micro-course teaching (mini-lectures) inNursing Education; head nurse management practice in Nursing Management; career planning design report meeting in Nursing Professional Literacy and Career Planning; and ethical case analysis report meeting in Nursing Ethics. These practical teaching contents with diverse forms, rich contents and strong interest are highly popular among students.
